Chris BeattoN, PT, MPT

FOUNDER, CEO

Chris is an Australian-trained Physical Therapist and Exercise Scientist, holding a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Master of Physiotherapy since 2007. He has extensive experience in orthopedic and sports therapy, working with athletes from recreational to professional levels, including roles with numerous professional sports organizations.

Chris has worked with athletes preparing for the Olympics in Beijing 2008, London 2012, Sochi 2014, and Rio 2016, refining his expertise in rehabilitation and performance optimization. His experience covers the full recovery spectrum, from acute injury management to late-stage performance conditioning, enabling him to tackle various physical therapy challenges.

In 2012, Chris moved to the U.S. and became a lecturer in Sacramento State University's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. In 2013, he joined Howard Head Sports Medicine and the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.

At the Steadman Clinic, Chris worked with top orthopedic surgeons like Dr. Marc Philippon and Dr. Robert LaPrade. He contributed to academic research, developed rehabilitation protocols, and co-authored the rehabilitation section of Dr. Philippon’s textbook, fueling his passion for post-surgical rehabilitation and injury management.

Chris has nearly two decades of experience in physical therapy, refining his clinical skills in various environments, including professional sports. He recognized that techniques used in elite athletics can benefit everyday clinical practice. This realization led him to develop the Clinical Taping Certification (CTC) coursework with Christian Swanson, aimed at enhancing physical therapists' treatment methodologies for improved patient care.

As Chris and Christian developed the CTC qualification, their commitment to evidence-based practice led to a larger vision. Today, Weavo aims to be the top continuing education provider in health, equipping clinicians with the skills for world-class patient care.
